President

Bobby LeConey

Bobby was Born and raised in Florida. He began his career as a senior broker at Sunbelt Business Brokers in Charlotte. Along the way, Bobby bought and sold several companies, demonstrating a knack for entrepreneurship and for learning a variety of business skills.

He later joined MC Tools, Inc. in Greenville. Once he learned the tooling business, Bobby saw an opportunity for a machine shop that could produce high tolerance, high-precision parts. So, he opened Innovative Manufacturing & Design, and the rest is history. As president, Bobby oversees all business and sales operations.

When he’s not working – which is rare – Bobby is trying to improve his golf game. He loves fast cars, racing, motorcycles – and his wife, Andrea, and daughter, Olivia.

Vice President

Jay Benton

As Vice President, Jay helps to oversee day to day business and technical activities. He continues to progress Innovative towards excellence through working directly with customers, vendors and co-workers to achieve the highest quality standards.

Jay received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina. His mechanical background is vital to understanding the complex applications that our customers present. While Jay enjoys the technical side of the industry, he is also passionate about the business and financial sides and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina.

When not at work, Jay enjoys spending time with family and friends. You can usually find him on a boat in the great outdoors. Jay and his wife Megan are expecting their first child and to be adding ‘proud father’ to his title.

Production Manager

Chris Burgess

As Production Manager, Chris oversees all workflow scheduling and personnel. He ensures that all projects meet stringent quality standards and are delivered on time. Chris graduated from Spartanburg Technical College in Machine Tooling. He joined the Innovative Team in 2010 as a CNC Programmer and Lead machinist. Chris is a native of Union, SC where he and his wife Jennifer are the proud parents of one daughter, Chloe. Chris enjoys coaching his daughter’s softball team and is an avid outdoorsman.

Office Manager

Jennifer Kapustka

Every company needs a Jennifer Kapustka. Her roles are diverse and vital. Our customers, suppliers, and employees all count on Jennifer for a variety of functions. Along with overseeing the day-to-day front office duties, Jennifer handles job material purchasing, human resources, accounting, and consults on our marketing programs. She also works closely with our president, Bobby LeConey, to keep all our management meetings and other activities moving smoothly.

A native of Hendersonville, N.C, Jennifer studied marketing at UNC Greensboro and Greenville Technical College. Over nearly two decades, she has worked in customer service and office management for several Greenville companies. She joined Innovative in 2017. Jennifer is the mom of one son, Nick, an avid soccer player. When she’s not watching her son play soccer, she enjoys traveling, cheering for the Clemson Tigers, and driving to the mountains to visit family.

Lead Planner

Mark Brown

A native of upstate New York, Mark graduated from the State University of New York system with a degree in agriculture engineering. He then joined General Electric’s toolmaker apprentice program at the company’s Schenectady, N.Y. plant. While at GE, Mark attended Schenectady Community College, where he earned a degree in industrial engineering. After leaving GE, Mark worked as a mold maker eight years before returning to GE to work on large steam turbine-generators. He moved to Greenville in 1995, first working for Standard Motor Products before switching to the home building industry for several years. At Innovative Manufacturing, Mark schedules and coordinates all production runs and also as our designated expert WAGer works closely with our customers to determine the most accurate and current price quotes in todays changing market.

Away from the plant Mark and his wife, Dee, enjoy traveling, especially to the beach, and gardening. He is the father of three sons and has two grandchildren.
